Case No. 04-2015: ISIS
Resolution on Attack to Islamic Cultural Center
January 4th, 2018
The International Buddhist Ethics Committee and Buddhist Tribunal on Human
Rights,
Recalling the principles of Buddhist
Law, human rights and fundamental freedoms established by international
instruments such as the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the United Nations, and the Buddhist Convention on Human Rights
adopted by the United Buddhist Nations
Organization;
Considering that human rights and
fundamental freedoms of the Islamic communities, especially their rights to
life and peace, should be respected without any discrimination;
Aware that contemporary Islamic
communities are vestiges of an ancient Civilization that was spread throughout
dozens of countries for hundreds of years;
Enormously concerned by the
discrimination made by contemporary capitalist civilization when associating
Islamism with Terrorism, which stigmatizes the life and culture of hundreds of
millions of people;
Deploring the existence of ISIS
guerrilla group that, in addition to carrying out acts of genocide, ethnic cleansing
and crimes
against humanity, also propagates a False Islam;
Taking into consideration that 95%
of the victims of ISIS are Muslims,
which demonstrates the fundamentally heretical nature of ISIS by making
perverse massacres against communities to which it says to represent;
Examining that these events not only
distort the ethical precepts of the Prophet Muhammad, but also constitute an
abhorrent Violation of the International Human Rights Law, being a false
ideology that not only does not represent Muslims, but also defames and attacks
them homicidally;
Bearing in mind that when ISIS
guerrilla carry out terrorist attacks against unarmed civilians they not only
carry out War Crimes, but also High Crimes against Peace, killing
unarmed men and defenseless women and children;
Affirming that the terrorist attack
perpetrated by ISIS in December 2017 against a Shiite Islamic cultural center
and a news network in Kabul (Afghanistan), where more than 40 people died,
constitutes an act of genocide whose purpose is to totally
destroy the Muslim religious group that does not believe in ISIS guerrilla;
Expressing concern at the fact that,
according to an analysis by the Conflict
Armament Research organization, more than 43% of ISIS weaponry was produced
in the superpower country of China, such as the Chinese Type 81 rifle;
1. Reaffirms that Buddhist Spirituality
fully respects the ethical principles of Islamic Spirituality;
2. Calls for the respect for human
rights and fundamental freedoms of the Muslim people, having to differentiate
it with respect to any association with the ISIS group;
3. Solemnly establishes that any
violent practice that attempts against the sacredness of life is a Violation of
the International Human Rights Law;
4. Expresses the hope that unarmed
civilians will never again be attacked by military or paramilitary groups, which
constitutes a War Crime and High Crimes against Peace;
5. Deplores as illegal US President
Donald Trump's acts of discrimination against the Muslim People, to which he
has stigmatized and associated repeatedly through a State-sponsored Islamophobia;
6. Declares that the acts of genocide,
ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity carried out by ISIS
against Muslims make it absolutely False Islamism, demonstrating then
that speaking of "Islamic
Terrorism" is nothing more than an ethnocentric defamation made by the
Western culture;
7. Calls upon all members of the
Buddhist People to show compassion toward the thousands of Muslims who are
being killed by ISIS, never having to follow the false teachings of Islamophobic
and False Buddhist teachers like Ashin
Wirathu or Lama Ole Nydahl.
