Case No. 4/2015: ISIS
Official Statement on Al Qaeda
The Buddhist
Tribunal on Human Rights, on October 25, 2017, decides once again to
reaffirm that all terrorist organizations are not only illegal and genocidal
under International Law, but also constitute False Islam in the light
of Islamic Law (Sharia), betraying
the peace message of the Prophet Muhammad. In this regard, with respect to the
terrorist movement Al Qaeda, which
in September of 2001 participated in a terrorist attack against American
civilians, it is denounced that it constitutes False Islam,
participating in crimes against humanity at a world-wide level.
The Buddhist
Tribunal on Human Rights confirms that both ISIS and Al Qaeda were
groups that worked together to achieve the same goal of building a global Caliphate. In fact, Abu Bakr
al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS,
came to be regarded himself as the true successor of Osama bin Laden, former al Qaeda leader. However, the means
used to achieve a civilization of Islamic
Law (Sharia) are totally inadequate, contradictory and illegal, resorting
to violence and war instead of resorting to peace and justice. In fact, because
they constitute False Islam, both ISIS
and Al Qaeda are unaware that Jihad does not really mean a holy war
but it is rather a process of spiritual inner purification. For this reason, ISIS has not only attacked dozens of
mosques but even initiated a violent dispute against Al Qaeda, proving that violence and hatred, rather than lead to
peace always lead to more violence and hatred.
The Buddhist
Tribunal on Human Rights confirms that both ISIS and Al Qaeda have
only succeeded in getting hatred against the Islamic community from the rest of
the international community, which is one of the main problems of the
contemporary world.
Finally, the Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights congratulates those Islamic
organizations around the world that maintain their ethical purity and condemn False
Islam of terrorist groups.
Always with a spirit of reconciliation
(maitri),
Master Maitreya Samyaksambuddha
President and Spiritual Judge of the Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights
